TAGO Fences is a personalization application that helps users manage their desktop icons. Free to use, this app provides a set of user-defined fences (categories) to allow optimal organization. With this, you can hide or unhide icons and hotkeys and create several shortcuts for your files.

TAGO Fences has a straightforward UI, allowing you to do the task with a simple double-click. It also allows dragging and dropping the files or icons to the fences you create. Although, as with most desktop managers, it takes some time to get used to the app, especially since it lacks any help documents. 

How do you use TAGO Fences?

With TAGO Fences, you can declutter your desktop by grouping folders, files, and icons. As mentioned, it provides you with expandable and customizable windows known as Fences, where you can sort and organize your desktop items. Not only that, but you can also customize not just the fences but the items in them. You can set the icon size, change the background and file color, and show/hide concealed items.

Creating a fence is easy as the app does it for you at the first launch. Then, using that sample fence, you can start adding your files, folders, apps, or shortcuts. Adding a new fence is also easy as it only requires you to click the application's system tray icon and select the appropriate option. Moreover, you can automatically create a fence when you create new files or shortcuts.

More than ease of use and customization, TAGO Fences also offers other neat features that you can activate on its general settings menu. Moreover, you can perform commands with hotkeys that you can customize. Although as noted, it does not have an active help section to reference. That said, the app is still easy to grasp, and you can familiarize yourself with its features by exploring its options. 

Is the app worth using?

All things considered, TAGO Fences is an efficient software that you can use to organize your desktop. The app is simple and allows you to rearrange your icons and items in multiple categories. It is easy to install and offers configuration options for optimal organization. It takes a while to know all its features, but the effort is worth it as it can give you a minimalist desktop display.
